A repeat customer of Silverson has now purchased a Flashmix FMX50 after scaling up their process using multiple Silverson mixers over several years. The company produces viscous suspensions which pose the challenge of producing an adequate dispersion without agglomerates in varying batch sizes and viscosities.
In 2014, the company trialed an L5M-A laboratory mixer. At the same time, they were also testing their application using a mixer of another manufacturer.
As all Silverson equipment is engineered to the same fine tolerances, once the company had concluded their batch formulation work, they easily scaled up the process from Laboratory to (190 - 230 litre) batches for small scale production of the suspensions using a BX60 Batch mixer which they purchased in 2018.
Also, in 2018 the company purchased an FMX50 for large scale production (4000 litre). At the end of 2019, two additional mixers were purchased, a 275UHS and a 600UHSH to be installed into their production lines.
