The company selected a 4-side-seal Theta machine by Universal Pack due to speed and compact size—the vertical machine model can reach horizontal machine outputs while reducing footprint and maintaining flexibility.

For high precision with pharmaceutical powders, the packaging line was equipped with a multi-lane check weigher with thousandth load cells with direct feedback to the single lanes of the dosing unit.

The machine was released previously, but the complete line for the laxative powders is an innovation. The main innovation was the R80 Counting and Stacking Unit. Universal Pack usually packages sachets using intermittent motion, and this is the first unit designed for continuous motion.
