One of the world's leading providers and manufacturers of healthcare solutions B. BRAUN Medical SA, located in Switzerland, has purchased a nano bead mill FLEXMILL-LAB NW machine from Frewitt.

The company was looking for a high-performance, easy-to-use and easy-to-clean nano mill, capable of processing very small amounts of API in the pre-formulation phase, as well as larger volumes for preclinical testing.

The result of the preliminary tests convinced the manufacturer in the performance and flexibility of the nano bead mill FlexMill-Lab NW. A unique design optimizes the use of energy, allowing grinding at a low speed and constant temperature. As a result, this machine can process very sensitive products without degradation.

Five, scalable, milling chambers are available and are easily installed in seconds on the nano bead mill head: 15 and 50ml in batch mode, and 100, 250 and 500ml in recirculation mode. In addition, the motor platform of the equipment allows 5 additional, distinct, dry milling processes to be carried out in no time at all: oscillating mill, rotary sifter, conical mill, hammer mill and pin mill; depending on the required particle size, i.e. ranging from several hundred microns to a few microns.
