Recently, a research and development company specializing in the development of polymers for a variety of applications has purchased a Silverson 600LS mixer to process material for which they previously used a Silverson L5 laboratory mixer.

Since the emulsion process was successful on a laboratory scale, the company returned to Silverson a few years later, in 2017, to purchase a mixer to scale up their process to 1-tonne batches without having to re-formulate or losing any of the quality they had achieved at Laboratory scale.

As the company evolved, Silverson received another request for a smaller mixer to be used as part of a pilot plant and a larger 600LS in-line mixer for 10-tonne batch applications, and soon another request for a 600LS due to the customer's perfect results reached with the Silverson equipment.

All Silverson mixing equipment is designed and built to the same fine tolerances; comparable rotor tip speed and shear rates across the entire product line means scalable results, every time.
