Dienst designed a solution for VARTA which allowed replace the plastic packaging for batteries with more ecological alternative – cardboard packaging. Dienst offered an automatic horizontal cartoner that erects, fills and closes the boxes usable for recycling.

The packaging line for batteries has high productivity – 4 lines for each format, which is 850 boxes/min (for format AAA) The boxes have a tuck-in closure with an additional glue flap, which allows piece-by-piece removal with further reliable closure. The recess on the front of the carton acts as a viewing window through which the batteries are also visible from the outside.

All advantages of Dienst packaging prove that not only plastic but also another material can be used for secondary packaging of batteries and other products in accordance with the strictest Customer's requirement.
