Experts from Enoop, a manufacturer of standard and custom vessel equipment, have recently designed the equipment for a Slovenian chemical company, which is currently in its final stages of production - a jacketed 904L stainless steel reactor vessel for operation in environments containing dilute sulfuric acid.

At the request of the customer, the reactor had to have good resistance to other inorganic acids such as hot phosphoric acid as well as most organic acids. Due to its composition, this steel is resistant to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and general oxidation.
