Recently, SN Maschinenbau has expanded its portfolio - at the Prod&Pack exhibition in Lyon, France, the premiere of its latest development took place - a machine for the production of stand-up bags with a spout SPM 50.
The SPM 50 is an innovative solution for the in-house production of stand-up bags with a central spout. This equipment is suitable for producers of fruit purees, smoothies or other liquids as an environmentally friendly and economical alternative to using prefabricated bags.
The packaging on the equipment is made from a roll of film, and the spout is sealed in the same pass. The finished spout bags are then automatically inserted into standard rail systems and stored on a transport cart. Each guide can then be easily and ergonomically inserted into existing bag filling machines. Compared to ready-made bags, this greatly simplifies processing and allows staff to process larger numbers of bags more efficiently, for example because the labor-intensive separation of guides is not necessary. This low-maintenance machine operates very efficiently and, thanks to its compact design, can be used even in cramped production environments. This means that it can be flexibly set up either directly on the filling machine or independently in a separate room.
The SPM 50 produces up to 4,200 pouches per hour and can continuously produce more than 30,000 spout pouches in an 8-hour shift using just one roll of film. This corresponds to an annual production volume of 7 million spout bags in one shift to 21 million in three shifts.
