Small batches from one gram
Three-Tec specialists have been developing and producing laboratory extruders with a screw diameter of 5 mm since 2005. The smallest parallel twin-screw laboratory extruder has a very low consumption of active ingredient and target material thanks to an empty volume of only 1.2 cm3 with a screw diameter of 5 mm. This allows the production of very small batches (from just one gram). Since only very small residual quantities remain in the extruder, high throughput can be achieved using existing materials. The results are ideal for further scaling up of the production.
Thanks to the optimized design, the temperature required for melt extrusion is lower, significantly reducing the load on the active ingredient. The design guarantees time-optimized and hassle-free assembly, as well as easy disassembly, cleaning and testing of the device in just a few minutes.
