Solution for packaging into flow packs from Cavanna Packaging Group (Italy)

One of the Customer's requirements – an international manufacturer of dairy and pastry products - was a line for packaging into flow packs which would be able to ensure a performance higher than 99% by using 2 high-speed flow pack machines. Although the packaging system (wrapping machine integrated by an automatic feeding system) is very robust, even during the standard production shifts some micro stops always occurs, due to several reasons.

How is it possible to increase the efficiency of the line taking into consideration such micro stops? 

Cavanna, the leader in the manufacturing of high-quality flow pack packaging equipment, offered a packaging line equipped with the vertical FIFO buffer which is able to receive and discharge plenty of rows on 2 levels for uninterrupted feeding of two packaging units.
The result was the customer's total satisfaction - Cavanna's equipment reached more than 99,8% efficiency. Thank joint efforts of two companies engaged in the commissioning, the line was installed and able to operate at a full volume only in two weeks, despite line complexity.
